Budget Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee - 17 September 2025

The meeting began with a motion to appoint the leadership of the Budget Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Councillor O’Connor moved, and Councillor Channon seconded, that Councillor Tarrant be elected as Chairman of the Committee. The motion was carried, and Councillor Tarrant subsequently assumed the chair. In a separate motion, Councillor German moved, and Councillor Donnithorne seconded, that Councillor Ball be elected as Vice‑Chairman of the same Committee. This motion was also resolved, completing the appointment of the Committee’s senior officers.

The next item of business was the ratification of the Committee’s previous meeting minutes. Councillor Gow moved, and Councillor Chopak seconded, that the minutes of the Budget Development Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting held on 22 January 2025 were correctly recorded and should be signed by the Chairman. The assembly agreed, and the minutes were formally approved.
