Chief Officers Employment Committee - 13 November 2025

The Chief Officers Employment Committee confirmed that there were no declarations of interest at the meeting. The Committee formally approved the minutes of its previous sessions held on 11 July 2025 and 21 July 2025, with both sets of minutes being signed by the Chairman. In addition, the confidential minutes from the 11 July meeting were accepted and signed, and the content of those confidential minutes was recorded as a resolved item.

The Committee approved the proposed arrangements—including the process and timescale—for recruiting a permanent Chief Operating Officer and a Section 151 Officer. Following that approval, the Committee agreed on the shortlist of candidates who will progress to the next stage of the selection process.

During the consideration of business that involved potentially exempt personal information, the Committee resolved, under the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), to exclude the press and public from the meeting. The exclusion was justified on the basis that the information to be discussed could disclose the identity of individuals or reveal personal details.

After the confidential portion of the agenda was concluded, the Committee moved to re‑admit the press and public to the meeting. No further items were identified as urgent, and the meeting was closed without additional business.
